Choose a plan and a location
What storage, vCPU, memory and bandwidth mean, how plan types differ and how to pick a location.
The pricing page lists each plan with the same columns. Here is what they mean.
What the columns mean
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| Storage | Disk space for your files, databases and the system itself. |
| vCPU | Processor cores. More cores let the server do more work at once. |
| Memory | Working memory (RAM). Busy sites and databases need more. |
| Bandwidth | The traffic your server may send each month. |
Plan types
- Cloud Compute: everyday servers for websites, small apps and development.
- High Frequency: faster processors and fast storage, for busy sites, databases and builds.
- High Performance: higher-performance processors for demanding work.
- Optimized Cloud Compute: dedicated processor cores for steady, production work. It comes in four families: General Purpose (balanced), CPU Optimized (more processor), Memory Optimized (more memory) and Storage Optimized (more fast storage).
If you are starting out, a Cloud Compute plan is usually enough. You can ask us to move you to a larger plan later.
Pick a location
Choose the city closest to the people who will use your site or app. A nearer server answers faster. Not every plan is offered in every city; the order form lists the ones available for your plan.
Monthly or yearly
Where a plan has a yearly price, the pricing page can show it as a monthly figure. Choose the billing period on the order form.
